Tamaruke is proudly the ONLY Breeder to be licenced by the NSW Veterinary Board and our Local Council - we are regularly inspected by these governing bodies.

Although we have personally chosen not to be members (preferring to focus on our private veterinary Clinic) - we are breeding Australian Labradoodles with the values and standards as set by the Australian Labradoodle Association (ALA).

We are dedicated and committed breeders of the wonderful, true Australian Labradoodle.

We breed to a strict code of ethics and conduct and adopt the highest standards of genetic testing in Australia.

Tamaruke Veterinary Services - our onsite Private Veterinary Clinic - is operated by our personal vet. This allows us the luxury of total full time Veterinary care and advices for all of our dogs and puppies.

A true family companion which will remain as a happy, social and confident member of your family for many years. Having bred three different breeds we have witnessed first hand what an exceptional animal the Australian Labradoodle is. Their temperament is consistent and kind. They demonstrate a high level of intelligence and are easily trained. These are social dogs, friendly and devoted to their owners.

We continue to successfully place many of our dog/puppies with special needs children and are constantly reminded of the unique qualities ofr our Labradoodles as we watch a natural bond has develop - such is the intuition of our dogs.

They instinctively know they are needed, a true companion/therapy Labradoodle.

We breed only with dogs that have a proven history of genetic strength so as to lessen the likelihood of any genetic disorders occurring. Our breeding program is intentionally focused toward producing a Labradoodle with a non-shedding coat that is more suitable for the Australian climate. We have focused on keeping the coat structure less dense. This allows for easier maintenance while not compromising the benefits of a non shedding wool/fleece coat. We breed to produce a coat that is still manageable and easily maintained yet still hypoallergenic.

Of all the Poodle infused breeds the Australian Labradoodle is the ONLY breed to have developed to 'Multi Generation' bloodlines.

If you intend to purchase a puppy/dog that is in any way associated with a Poodle infusion then you are indeed wise to do your research.

All of the other breeds are just Poodle, crossed with another breed (eg Poodle cross Cocker spaniel, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Schnauzer, and yes the Labrador/Poodle cross etc etc)...this means they will shed their coats when older...this is not understood by many people who purchase these puppies and are heartbroken later when they discover they have not bought what they expected. By then they have bonded with their companion and have to face life with a shedding dog or go through the heartbreak of parting with the animal.

What is an Australian Labradoodle? An Australian Labradoodle IS NOT a Labrador Poodle Cross. It is a breed in its own right, purpose bred over many generations.

An Australian Labradoodle has a consistent non-shedding coat, with intelligence, genetic strength and an easy going temperament. If you are to purchase a true non-shedding Labradoodle...with a history of genetic strength from health tested Parents and with a guarantee, then you will need to purchase from a reputable breeder.

When you purchase a puppy from us you are purchasing a well socialised and confident puppy that comes from parents demonstrating the same characteristics. Our ‘Doodles’ have lots of space to run, play in the water and interact with our day to day life. Our dogs and puppies enjoy daily interaction, (with us not with staff, we operate our own breeding program - No staff) socialisation with children and are all country bred and raised. NOTE: We actually invite children to come and play with the dogs….walk them and interact with them daily..

Tamaruke's Guardian Program:

We adopt a holistic approach to our breeding program, considering every dog as an individual, not only the puppies we produce from them. We also maintain a Guardian Program where breeding dogs are placed with a family and we retain breeding rights to that dog for 3 litters only. The dog is then de-sexed and remains with their guardian family for life. This ensures the dog receives the love and interaction of a family. We consider the dog, not only what we produce from them

When you purchase a puppy from us we appreciate that you are entrusting us to provide you with a family companion. We consider this a privilege never to be taken for granted.

We want people to know our breeding program was not initiated from greed or for the sole purpose of making money. The size of our breeding program was necessary to keep up with the demand. There are so many breeders out there who hide behind a glossy website. Please ensure that you are able to visit the property - if you intend to purchase a family companion - it is important to know that the facilities and the breeding program is everything they profess to be on their website.

We are breeders of Australian Stock Horses and Beef cattle. Due to the extreme drought in 1992 I bred two litters of puppies from our Labradoodle girls to see how things would go. We insisted on doing things correct from the very beginning and the rest as they say is history. We now export to 16 countries and breed to provide for our waiting list. We DO NOT indiscriminately breed puppies and we DO NOT sell to Pet Shops at any time.

We aim to keep the waiting time to a minimum but for people who find the waiting difficult we offer photos and inclusion on the litters and puppies, especially for children who are waiting anxiously for their new companion. Litters are being born regularly to keep the waiting time to a minimum.

People submit an application with us and wait until a puppy is available that will suit them, or as close as is possible. (see the “our dogs” and “Whats Available” page on this website

We breed specifically to fulfill our orders (which are ongoing) rather than breed indiscriminately and have supply outweigh demand. We feel it would be irresponsible for us to breed in excess of our orders and have puppies without homes, and hence we have a waiting period and wait list. The waiting period is very difficult to predict as the waiting will at times will be significantly less if our females deliver larger litters or people’s circumstances or preferences change. For a variety of reasons, waiting times may differ from what is stated. The orders we receive and the waiting list, I feel, are testament to our standards and our integrity.

I receive a great deal of feedback regarding the unique temperament of our puppies, the quality and the confidence they display even when very young.

Due to the wonderful temperament of our bloodlines we are now providing Assistance  and Therapy dogs/puppies to families with special needs children. (We discuss this individually).

Many of our clients have mentioned that it is our personal attention that makes us stand out. If you have an enquiry, a problem or a question we will reply or respond to you immediately. You will not be kept waiting for days for a reply and you are able to communicate directly with the breeder. We include our families in the entire process (as much as they would like to be included) with regular updates, photos and information on the progress of your puppy from birth (or sometimes before) until he/she is delivered safely to you.

Our breeding program is based on temperament and genetic strength within our bloodlines……it is working well so far! The return rate for repeat buyers is very high. We are exporting our Multi Gen Australian Labradoodles all over the world (adopting strict standards and many many hours of preperation to do so) and throughout Australia.

We breed only from fully health tested dogs. Hip and elbow evaluations are conducted and evaluated by a specialist radiologist, we conduct DNA profiles for PRCD, PRA and DNA Typing on ALL breeding dogs prior to breeding with them. We consult with a Genetic Specialist before we consider a mating.

Now of the Australian Labradoodle:

Most people are breeding Labrador/Poodle cross puppies or 2nd generation Labradoodles...these are NOT the true Labradoodles...THESE WILL SHED THEIR COAT AT A LATER STAGE., they also have a very high incidence of temperament problems and genetic Disorders…...even though the "non-accredited" breeders will tell you otherwise.
